Singapore, Germany collaborate for manufacturing and tech projects
This also marks the inaugural NRW-Singapore Open Innovation Call.
Enterprise Singapore signed a Joint Workplan Agreement with NRW Global Business, the trade and investment agency of the German state North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), to promote two-way collaborations between Singaporean and German companies in advanced manufacturing, green technologies, and ICT.
The collaboration between the two agencies will support internationalisation efforts between companies from the two countries and strengthen cooperation in innovation.
Eligible projects under the collaboration will receive funding and other assistance for their development. The first wave of projects would launch in the fourth quarter of this year.

They will also launch the inaugural NRW-Singapore Open Innovation Call to drive co-innovation between companies within Singapore and North Rhine-Westphalia.
Peter Ong, EnterpriseSG Chairman, said that with the collaboration, Singapore and German businesses could "develop new and innovative solutions to address demands in advanced manufacturing, green technologies, and ICT. This collaboration with NRW will enable German companies to collaborate with Singapore businesses beyond our respective markets to tap opportunities in Southeast Asia and the European Union."
